ACHIEVEMENT

We have started Surabi School of Nursing as per G.O (MS) Health No 56 /8. Tamilnadu Nurses and Midwives inspection was held on 26.04.2008 and permission was granted on 28.05.08 Now our school of nursing has been functioning successfully since June 2008. It has been started with 20 female students in the month of June 2008. On the same day the School of Nursing was inaugurated by our Founder Mr P. Jothimurugan. Teaching faculty, Principal, Vice Principal, Nursing Tutors and Clinical Instructors are appointed. Surabi School of Nursing has been provided with advance laboratories,  class rooms, office rooms, library and reading room, computer and Xerox room.

All the rooms are ventilated, lighten, well equipped and furnished according to the Indian Nursing Council norms. Students are provided with uniform of white pant, white shirt with cap and canvass shoes with stockings. For community programmes Blue Chudidar & Top with white Thuppatac is compulsory. We provide I.D. cards at the beginning of the every academic year for all students & Staff members.  All our faculties teach with A.V.AIDs (OHP & Charts). External lecturers are appointed for Psychology, Nutrition and Anatomy. English Masters are also appointed with higher qualification and rich experience in order to enhance the English speaking ability. The practical laboratories are utilized for demonstration purposes of students.  Hygiene food is provided to the students and Students were registered in Student Nurses Association (State and Central) to become a member of
above association. We provide Hostel & Canteen facilities to the students.

Master plan for clinical and theory; clinical experience for 3 ½ years planned and charted as per revised syllabus by Indian Nursing Council. All the admitted students are registered in the office of the Deputy Chairman, Government General Hospital, Chennai – 3 for enrolment of Examination after the verification of certificates.

Students are evaluated weekly by giving test and marks entered in the internal mark register. All the important registers viz, Admission, Cumulative, Daily attendance, Practical records, Medical checkup records are being maintained in a well manner.

The school staff and students are utilizing the vehicles of ‘Surabi School of Nursing for all the nursing programmes.  The school is insulated with well trained security staff and thereby safely ensured. Annual sports day was conducted on  15th   May 2009. Prizes are distributed on every year on FLORENCE NIGHTINGALE DAY,  who participate with lot of enthusiasm in all school of nursing activities.

We have sent our students for clinical training to parent Hospital – JEGANATH HOSPITAL and V.O.C HOSPITAL at Dindigul for 4 months every year
